As the sun sets on Taghazout, marking the beginning of Ramadan on Sunday, March 10, 2024, Surf Camp Taghazout welcomes this sacred month with open hearts and a commitment to maintaining our warm and inclusive atmosphere. Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims worldwide, holds special significance in Taghazout, a coastal haven known for its surf & sun.
Surf Camp Taghazout Operations during Ramadan:
At Surf Camp Taghazout, we remain open throughout Ramadan, ensuring that our guests can enjoy the beauty of the waves and the tranquility of our surroundings. Our daily routine, including meals and surf schedules, will continue as usual, with no changes in time or schedule. You can expect the same level of hospitality and exciting surf experiences during this spiritually significant month.
However, on the joyous occasion of Eid ul Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, there will be a slight adjustment in the departure time for our surf sessions. Instead of the usual 10:00 am departure, we will hit the waves at 11:00 am, allowing the surf coaches and drivers to partake in the celebratory atmosphere of this special day.
Ramadan in Taghazout:
Taghazout, a charming coastal village, takes on a unique ambiance during Ramadan. While some restaurants may remain open, the majority will close during the day and open their doors as the sun sets. The evenings come alive with the breaking of the fast, known as Iftar, creating a sense of community as locals and visitors gather to share meals and festivities.
Ramadan in Morocco: Traditions and Culinary Delights:
Ramadan in Morocco is a time of deep reflection, family, and community bonding. The streets come alive with vibrant decorations, and the aroma of special Ramadan treats fills the air. Moroccan families gather for Iftar, breaking their fast with dates, water, and harira soup, followed by a variety of delicious dishes.
The spirit of giving is also prevalent during Ramadan, with many Moroccans engaging in acts of charity and kindness. The fast is broken with a meal called Suhur before dawn, and the day is spent in prayer, reflection, and spending time with loved ones.
As you immerse yourself in the unique experience of Ramadan in Taghazout and Morocco, we encourage you to embrace the traditions, savor the delectable cuisine, and witness the spirit of unity that defines this sacred month.
At Surf Camp Taghazout, we look forward to sharing the beauty of Ramadan with our guests and creating lasting memories together. Ramadan Kareem!
